Miracles Hair Design and Salon is the culmination of years of passion and hard work on the part of our founder, Takaya Cunningham, and her team of skilled stylists and technicians.
Our salon opened in its current location in 2005, but the Miracles story began for Takaya at age fifteen when she began styling for members of her family. Her love for hair design remained a driving force in her life throughout her education, and as she worked toward her degree in Business Management at Alabama A&M University she continued styling for friends and fellow students in her dorm room. Her skills earned her dorm room the nickname “Miracles”, and her salon carries the name today.
After completing her degree, Takaya continued her education in the field of beauty, and is now a licensed Master Cosmetologist. Her years of experience working in styling and management prepared her well for her current role as the driving force behind Miracles Salon. She demands the best from her staff, and encourages their professional development.
While her personal commitment and drive have contributed to her success, she is also quick to credit her strong faith in God, whose gifts of talent, strength and confidence have made her way clear. She truly shows what perseverance and determination can accomplish when coupled with vision, planning, and faith.
The Miracles staff of skilled technicians and stylists share Takaya's commitment to excellence, customer service, and ongoing education and professional development. They are more than employees - they are team members with the focus and drive to achieve Miracles for themselves and for their clients!
